Overview
AirMedic™ is a new type of network tool that brings AirMagnet troubleshooting to the entry-level market. Built upon AirMagnet's unmatched experience in WiFi troubleshooting, AirMedic is a fast and simple, "just the facts" approach to dealing with the periodic performance and reliability problems that all wireless LANs experience. AirMedic does this by bringing together the two most essential perspectives of WLAN performance, combining lab-quality spectrum analysis and basic WiFi traffic analysis into one simple view. AirMedic leverages the Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor technology built-in to modern laptops for RF spectrum analysis and makes sure that the tool has the same RF perspective on the environment that an actual end-user would see, meaning better response times and better accuracy.

System Requirements
Minimum System Requirements:
The installation and operation of AirMagnet AirMedic (software-only) requires separate hardware with one of the following minimum system requirements below.
- Notebook based on Intel® Centrino® 2 Processor technology (WiFi Link 5100 or 5300 - mandatory wireless adapter required to run AirMedic)
- Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Business/Ultimate (SP2), or XP™ Professional (SP3)
Note: 64-bit operating systems are not supported.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, which can be downloaded here.
- Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.00 GHz or higher
- 1 GB of memory (2 GB recommended)
- 150 MB of available hard drive space
- "Intel® WiFi Link 5300/5100 - Version 12.2.0.0 or 12.4.0.0 Drivers-Only for Windows" version package which can be downloaded here (for viewing RF spectrum data)
- An AirMagnet-supported WiFi adapter (for viewing WiFi data)
- List of laptops/notebooks that are known to provide the Intel® 5100/5300 series WiFi Link adapters as an option
- A Netbook PC with WiFi Link 5100 or 5300 adapter (mandatory wireless adapter required to run AirMedic)
- Microsoft® Windows XP™ Home

Additional WiFi Analysis
Note: AirMedic offers additional WiFi analysis features for users who use a second WiFi adapter in addition to the Intel wireless adapter built in to your Centrino 2 notebook. This does NOT remove the requirement for an Intel 5100 or 5300 wireless adapter, without which the AirMedic software will not work. Below are the list of supplementary WiFi adapters that can be used to gain the additional WiFi analysis capabilities in AirMedic.
